Leah Friedman, Owner and Professional Organizer
Leah founded Raleigh Green Gables in 2013. She organizes homes and corporate offices throughout the Triangle area.
Leah was previously a reporter for 15 years at newspapers in Virginia, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina. She most recently worked as a reporter and columnist at The News & Observer. She has also worked as a communications director for a U.S. Congressman and the North Carolina Senate Minority Leader’s Office.
In addition to being a writer, Leah has always been an organizer and a minimalist. When she was six, she rearranged her bedroom furniture every weekend to achieve maximum floor space. In her current home, she has empty closets because she does not need the storage.
She is a proud University of Virginia Wahoo. When she is not organizing, you can find her with her family, in her garden, at Barre3, spinning or swimming on her half-ironman relay team.
Leah adores the “Anne of Green Gables” book series, where Anne Shirley’s cottage was always swept clean and full of good food and cheer; thus the company’s name.
Leah is also available to speak to groups about how to get organized.
Leah is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals.
