Leah Friedman, Owner and Professional Simplifier
Leah founded Raleigh Green Gables in 2013. She declutters and simplifies homes and corporate offices nationwide.
Leah was previously a reporter for 15 years at newspapers in Virginia, Illinois, Missouri and North Carolina. She most recently worked as a reporter and columnist at The News & Observer. She has also worked as a communications director for a U.S. Congressman and the North Carolina Senate Minority Leader’s Office.
In addition to being a writer, Leah has always been a minimalist. When she was six, she rearranged her bedroom furniture every weekend to achieve maximum floor space. In her current home, she has empty closets because she does not need the storage. Her attic and garage are empty.
She is a proud University of Virginia Wahoo. When she is not partnering with clients, you can find her with her family, in her garden, at Barre3, spinning or swimming on her half-ironman relay team.
Leah adores the “Anne of Green Gables” book series, where Anne Shirley’s cottage was always swept clean and full of good food and cheer; thus the company’s name.
Leah has been featured on WRAL’s Go Ask Mom, in Walter Magazine and regularly appeared on NBC’s “My Carolina Today.”
Leah is also available to speak to groups about how to simplify your home.
Leah is a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals.
