I have so many friends who have signed up for Stitchfix that I decided to try it myself.
I have to say it’s an amazing service. They sent me really cute stuff. It’s easy to pick what you want and send back what you don’t. And I did not have to go to Crabtree Mall. (Whoever designed the ins and outs at that mall should have to go in and out all day long for punishment.)
I loved what they sent me, but out of six items, I kept one shirt.
That’s because I have my closet in perfect condition. All my clothes are in order. I know how many shirts, jeans, dresses I have. I have typed notes with each piece listed and what it goes with. When I can’t sleep, I think about my outfits. All of my clothes — and I mean all spring, summer, fall, winter and winter coats — hang on ONE rod. ONE!
See spring/summer on left and fall/winter on right. My exercise clothes are in a dresser. Other than that, this is it.
My closet is so great with just the right amount of clothes that I am about to launch a major project on Instagram involving my closet. (Stay tuned!)
I am guessing most of you do not have your closets in this kind of order. I bet they look more like this:
That means you may already have a navy shirt stuffed in there somewhere, but then Stitchfix sends you one, and you are like, “Oh this is amazing. I am keeping it.”
So Stitchfix all you want, but clean out your closet first. Don’t know how to get started? We can help you get your closet looking like this:
Then our partner, Sheon The Stylist, can come in and put outfits together.
I promise, once you get your closet in order, you will feel better, look better, and you will save money because you will shop in your closet.
